Castra Rubra "Via Diagonalis" 2010 Kosher Red Wine, Thracian Valley, Bulgaria A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Mavrud, and Rubin. The aromatics are Rhone-like, with cherry, pmegranate, black raspberry accented by dried Provencal herbs and tobacco flower. The finish is smooth and rounded, with finely grained, velvety tannins that hide a surprising amount of backbone. Drink now, or hold for another 5-10 years in the cellar. This wine is built to age well.
